Vintage VW road trip e-sesh

June 9, 2011

Nothing like a vintage VW road trip photoshoot to getcha in the mood for summer! I was so excited when I found this adorable engagement shoot by Krista Mason Photography featured on Grey Likes Weddings. Totally loving the colors, props and casualness that document this couple’s love for each other. And how amazing is Krista Mason’s work? Check it out!

Wow to that gorgeous ring!

Keepin’ it culinary

February 3, 2011

Fresh, fun and hellooo delicious! The incredibly talented Henry & Masci Photography of Wilmington, MA captured this awesome engagement session, which I discovered over at Project Wedding. The bride writes a food blog, so the couple wanted to incorporate her culinary craftiness into their photos. I always love when e-sessions tell a story about the couple!

I’m loving all of the details in these photos, like the bride-to-be’s apron, and the adorable heart and diamond ring cookie cutters. How creative! Oh, and I can’t forget the mini-wedding cakes…stun me, why don’t ya?

Today, I have BLING on the brain… and  I am finding it hard to get anything done.  So I thought a little blog-therapy might just do the trick. It will hopefully help me clear my head and give you fine readers a little eye candy!  It’s a WIN WIN!!!

I decided to focus all of my blinging energy on ring shots. Let’s get started….

How unique and earthy!  Makes me think of all my “green” brides out there.  Simply beautiful.

Wheat is sweet

November 30, 2010

As you know, I am always on the look out for a fab inexpensive DIY project.  So, today I am ordering some wheat from Save-on-crafts.  For under $20 you can get about 4 bundles shipped to you.  (You may also purchase wheat from other online vendors, your local farmer’s market, or find a field to pick your own).  I’m not 100% sure what I am going to do with my wheat yet.  All I  DO know is that it will be spectacular and more importantly, budget friendly!  :)

Here is what inspired me to make my purchase today…

Look how nice just a few stalks look placed in a mason jar.

You could use a vase if you prefer.

This is one of my favorites.  I LOVE the clean lines and the simplicity of this centerpiece.

One single stalk on a plate… Yes, please.

Rather than a napkin ring, why not dress up your napkins with this clever idea.  Super cheap and very seasonal.

I’ve noticed that wreaths aren’t as budget friendly as they should be.  To save some money, make your own.

Posted on Weddingbee

Martha strikes again!  Check out this wreath on Martha Stewart’s website.  If you adore it as much as I do, there is a tutorial on how to make your own.

I am just crazy about these sprays.  What a darling way to dress up some chairs.  GREAT idea for a fall wedding.

Another great idea for a wedding…  Line the aisle chairs or pews with some wheat clusters.

Posted on Project Wedding

While I’m on wheat wedding ideas, check out how lovely these are.  I’m a big fan of untraditional bouquets and boutonneires.

OMG, I fall more and more in love with Etsy every day.  Look at this gorgeous head-piece I found. PERFECT for a fall bride.

Have you ever heard of wheat weaving?  Okay, me either…. but something wheat woven would make fabulous little wedding favors.  Don’t you agree??  They could be placed on everyone’s plate to dress up the table.  Or even better, fasten a name and table number to make an escort card.

Posted on Crafty Pod.  Visit their site for a wheat weaving tutorial.

Okay, I know this isn’t a craft idea but you know me…. I just can’t pass up an amazing ring shot!

Apple love

September 27, 2010

Who went apple picking this weekend?!? THIS GIRL! ;] While navigating the orchard and indulging in the complete fall-ness of my environment, I couldn’t help but think that it was the perfect location for some type of portrait session.

So imagine my excitement when I found this engagement sesh on one of my faaaavorite blogs, Lace/Hanky Photography. I love how fall-ish these gorgeous photos are – the lighting and the trees and the apples and the lovin’ make them absolutely perfect! I really think that an apple orchard has just the right combination of fun and romance to make any portrait session absolutely unforgettable.

Another fab fall portrait option is a pumpkin patch – also earthy and fun!

cute idea!

see, the problem is that all of these are so darn perfect that i can’t decide which one i like best.

ok, now i LOVE the bikes in the orchard.

obsessed.

yep, definitely love all of them. do you have an apple orchard photo sesh hiding up your sleeve? please share!
