Happy Friday Libsters. Have a great weekend!
Here we are, halfway through the week and oh-so-close to a long, luxurious Memorial Day weekend!
During one of my recent Pinterest-stalking sessions, I stumbled across this lighthearted save the date and thought I’d share for a fun little mid-week boost. Happy Hump Day! :]

Looking for a fun, creative and oooh-so-romantic way for you and your spouse to show the world how much you love each other?
I recently read an article about couples leaving “love locks” on the Brooklyn Bridge, a tradition that just started in the U.S. but has been going on for over a decade in Europe and China, according to Wikipedia.
The idea is that you and your amor inscribe your names on a padlock (or write them with a black sharpie…whatever works), attach it to a bridge or other public structure, and toss the keys away as a symbol of your everlasting love and commitment to each other. Does it get any more romantic than that?
Here are some pictures of love locks across the world. Where will you lock up your love?!

So much love...all around the world! Have a happy, love-filled weekend!!
Table numbers… One reception detail you can put your personal touch on. In fact, if you can, I recommend you do.
Your guests can either come in to the party and see they are sitting at table “4″ ooor they can enter and be amusingly met by table “1988″. There are endless ways to number your tables. Get creative. Do something that is meaningful to you and your sweetheart and let this detail be just one of many that sets your wedding apart from the others.
Here are a few table number ideas that I find just darling. They are unique, memorable and sweet!
What do you think……

Such a sweet idea! Not only simple, but a way for your guests to get to know you even better! Loving this table number idea!!!
HAHaaa! Come on, guests would LOVE this! Using the table number to include a photo of the bride and groom at that age. Hilarious!! I know I would float around the tables to make sure I saw them all!!
via Project Wedding

Here is something along the same line. Although, rather than using ages this couple used years! Still just as cute!

Any teachers out there? This is a terrific table number idea for you! It even works if you and your sweetheart met in elementary school!

BOOKS!!! YES!!!! I think this idea is clever. Even more so if you incorporate your favorite books or ones with clever titles. The Princess Bride anyone?
via Style Me Pretty

Saved my favorite for last. This table number isn’t just clever, it’s interactive! Seriously, how sweet is this? Asking your guests to write you a note that you will read on your anniversaries…. AH DOR ABLE!!!!

What are you doing for table numbers? Something clever??

Have you heard of this idea before? Having a wedding time capsule?
I KNOW…. AWESOME IDEA, right??
I have always adored the idea of a time capsule. Preserving memories, photos, and momentos to be enjoyed at a later date. A wonderful way to cherish special keepsakes. So, why not have one at a wedding?
You could have a time capsule station where guests write you a letter, share a memory, make predictions, etc. at your reception. Or in your invitation you could mention your idea and ask your family and friends to bring a tiny momento to include. After the wedding you could seal up the capsule and open it in a year, 5 years, 10, at a vow renewal…. whenever you’d like to enjoy it.
Here’s a wedding I saw over at Elizabeth Anne Designs where the couple had guests contribute to a time capsule. SOOOooooo SWEET!!!!
Seriously, who wouldn’t want to do this?? Such a darling idea and fun for your guests!!
Have any of you had a time capsule or plan to at your wedding??

If you are having children at your wedding you may be looking for something to keep the kiddies busy. Well look no further, here are some fabulous ideas perfect for a kid activity table. THAT’S RIGHT… a kid’s activity table! Super fun, right? I promise it’ll be a hit with the younger crowd! :]
Set up a table somewhere that won’t be center of attention. This way if they little ones get a little “over excited” it won’t be right in the middle of your reception.
It’s up to you if you’d like to have the children eat together at the “kid table” or allow them to stay with their parents and just gather for activities after. If you aren’t sure, think about the children coming. Would they be more comfortable eating with mom and dad, or are they “too cool” and rather sit with their peers?

The kid’s would feel so special getting a goodie bag filled with treats and activities. Try to keep them theme related and age appropriate.

I spy with my little eye…
AN IDEA I ADORE!!!
How cute is this?? I know I’d wanna play this wedding I Spy. Oh, AND a disposable camera?!!! They’ll hardly be able to contain themselves!!

via Weddingbee
This is super easy and will keep ‘em busy! Make a wedding activity book. Your possibilities are endless!!!

via Weddingbee
I’m loving this activity centerpiece. Pretty and functional! It’s also worth noting the butcher paper table covering. GREAT idea for a kids wedding table!!!!

Here’s an adorable idea that is great if you are inviting many children to your wedding. Have a Polaroid handy and snap each kid’s photo. Then, let them place it on scrapbook paper, write you a little message and decorate. Afterwards you can place all the sweet little photos in a scrapbook. CUTE, right?
Soooo… are any of you having kids at your wedding? What are your plans? Have any awesome ideas to share with us? We’d love to hear from you! PLEASE spill!
:]
Sure you can have a traditional guest book, but “YAWN”… [oh, sorry that just slipped out] … why would you want to? Do you like being cookie cutter? Okay, maybe you do. BUT THIS IS YOUR WEDDING! Don’t you want everything about your big day to be interesting, exciting and memorable? YES, even your guest book can be awesome!
I know you want AWESOME… so here are a few fun guest book ideas I’m going to throw ‘atcha. Remember, these are only 3 options in a sea full of possibilities.
Jenga… Jenga… Jenga
Think about how fun this will be in years to come. Everytime you play your sentimental Jenga game you can enjoy all the sweet things your family and friends wrote to you on your wedding day. Come on, doesn’t this beat an ordinary sign in “book”? via Oh Lovely Day
Puzzle Pieces

As a huge puzzle lover, I obviously adore this idea! It’s so fun and something you could frame and hang in your home. You could paint the pieces in your wedding colors beforehand or use bright sharpies for a more vibrant look. via Jesi Haack Design
Postcards
Uhm… HELLO super cute idea…
At the reception have stamped self addressed postcards. Have each guest write one out to you and assign a friend to mail them out the next day. When you return from your honeymoon you will have a mailbox full of messages to enjoy! Once you read them you could store them in a scrap-book, or make a collage… or any other creative idea you can think of. Super sweet, right? I love the idea of having a mailbox at the reception for the guests to place them in too! Cute! Cute!
In case you couldn’t tell, Fridays are pretty random around here – lots to cover before the weekend! Anyway, how cool is this image from lemonlime photography? Loving the colors and the perspective!

Remember I told you we threw a Barbie Bachelorette Party? Well there a TON of details I want to share with you from the bachelorette weekend (don’t worry the rest in due time)…. BUT today, I want to show you the gift bags we got for each “Barbie” who joined the weekend with us.
We found this awesome little site ShirtsInBulk.com. Now don ‘t be fooled, they don’t just sell shirts. They sell hoodies, hats, towels, robes… ALL SORTS of great gift ideas, but the one we decided on were these awesome cooler totes. AND YES when I say “cooler” I DO mean 6 pack holder!! Perfect bag the girls will get PLENTY of use out of and each were only about $3… Sooo super cheap.
Here is what we did…
We took our cute little tote, in PINK of course, and filled it with all sorts of goodies… AS IF the tote isn’t cool enough on its own!
Included in each “Barbie bag” were :
a bottle of water (with coozie), mini wine, pair of socks, Barbie esque sunglasses, Barbie necklace, Advil, Ring Pop, and a raft (wrapped because didn’t fit in the bag. They were amazing to float on in the rooftop pool)!
![BG[2]](http://www.libbyjamesblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/BG2.jpg)
We lined the bags up on the counter with a martini glass for each girl. THEY WERE A HIT!!
**I have actually seen a few tote bags used since….carring a 6 pack of course!!
We got each girl a bag because we thought it only fair that each girl, er… BARBIE, got a little something. After all, they traveled from PA to MD, pitched in on the condo, food, and decorations, then helped pay for all the partying we did. NOW don’t get me wrong, we didn’t HAVE to get them anything… But we felt it necessary to show our appreciation for their attendance and their support for the bride to be’s bachelorette bash!! NOTHING is worse than going the extra mile (in this case 150) and not feeling appreciated! So we wanted to give them a little something to show how much we think they ROCK!
Keep this in mind the next time you are planning a bachelorette party. It’s an extremely sweet gesture to give party favors. Keep them party theme related, put a little thought into it, and I’m sure they will be gratefully received by each girl!! AND be sure to check out ShirtsInBulk and Etsy. They have so many cute and affordable items, I’m sure you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for!!
PARTY ON GIRLS!!
