!!! PINTEREST !!!

September 22, 2011

The question is…….

DO YOU PINTEREST??

The answer…………

SHOULD be YES!!!!

Pinterest is my most recent addiction.  I am a Pinaholic!  And, NO I’m not ashamed!  I am a PROUD pin addict!  I could pin all day and night… In fact, I sometimes do!

So…What is Pinterest Logo?

Pinterest is a Virtual Pinboard.

Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.

Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.

To get started, request an invite.  Then come find Libby James’ Pinterest page and follow me.  I’d love to be your Pin Pal!   I have tons of wedding inspiration just waiting for you to browse and am adding more and more daily.  I PROMISE YOU’LL LOVE IT!!

Here is a little looksie at my Pinterest Page:

See…. Gowns, Flowers, Cake… everything your wedding needs!  Planning has NEVER been easier (or more fun)!  So GO… get yourself a Pinterest page.  I’ll see ya there!! :)

Chocolate-tasting wedding favors

September 19, 2011

Loving these DIY chocolate-tasting wedding favors from Something Turquoise (one of my new fave blogs, btw). Check out the full tutorial over at her blog!

How cute? So easy to match to your wedding colors, and leaves plenty of room for creative license. I’m thinking mini cupcakes, chocolate covered pretzels, or other candied goodies. Yum!

Fresh idea Friday: easy-peasy seating chart

September 16, 2011

Check this out ladies – how simple is this seating chart idea from Something Turquoise? Perfect for round tables, square tables, long tables, and everything in between. All you need is a large piece of foam board, color-coded Post-it page markers, and something to write with. Oh, and something to trace in the shape of your tables (if you don’t trust your freehand drawing skillz).

Check out Something Turquoise for the full DIY tutorial, in pictures!

Fall wedding inspiration: cider + donuts!

September 15, 2011

I’ve been on a huge donut kick lately. Not necessarily eating them (trying to cut back on saturated fats, people) but drooling and fantasizing over them, fo sho.

Then I started thinking, though the little devils might not be the healthiest goodies on the planet, they are darn cute. And would be even cuter when served smartly at a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, or even bridal shower. Yep, I’m officially in love with these centerless treats because they are so very customizable and precious.

Are you kidding? GIVE ME NOW.

For example, you fall wedding brides – if you are still searching for reception eats, why not serve your guests cider and donuts? So very budget friendly, and so very endearing. Who doesn’t love donuts? Not this gal. Give me a donut now.

All images via Pinterest.

If you really want to step up your game, present guests with a donut cart. They might die of happiness.

Cider in little tin cups – how quaint! Love.

Love these thermoses! Those labels look super simple too – so cute!

Present guests with an entire cider-donut-apple spread. Love the wheat bouquet – super classy and fall-ish!

Oh my gosh. Cider with mini-donuts on stirrers. Can they get any cuter?

Loving this spread – donut holes are an adorable option as well, and I love that glass cider pitcher!

Whoa, what? Cider served in cut-out apples, and delicious glazed donuts in a vintage wooden crate. Yes.

I love this! Donut holes skewered on wedding date-embossed stirrers, with hot cider in customized paper cups. SO CUTE!

Milk and donut cupcakes…just in case you’re not a cider fan. Love it!

Now there’s a wedding favor that I would definitely NOT leave behind.

See? Customizable to your wedding colors!

Donut sundaes. ‘Nuff said.

Cidah.

Donut cake! Genius.

Also loving this donut favor idea – so precious! Could also work as a table number display.

And finally…a cider that all guests will love.

So there you have it…donuts and cider for a fall wedding. What do you think?

Out-of-townie totes!

August 16, 2011

One of the best things about those weddings far, far away are the out of town totes (aside from the beautiful nuptials, of course). So when your wedding comes along, what will you leave for your guests?

Here are a few adorable ideas I’ve been racking up for you ladies:

First things first: most guests will be dying to pop a little bubbly after a long trip, so why not welcome them with a reusable wine bag and some champagne or rosé? I like this burlap option – perfect for a rustic chic wedding!

The Almost Wed Game

August 9, 2011

As most of you know, my gal pals and I threw a Picture Perfect bridal shower a few weeks ago.  One of my favorite parts was The Almost Wed Game.  It is the best bridal shower game I have ever seen and the guests are still talking about it.  It REALLY was sooo much fun!  Talk about a riot!

The Almost Wed Game was our take on the Newly Wed Game.  Days before the bridal shower while the bride-to-be was working, I met up with her fiance.  I set up my trusty Nikon, sat him down and started the fun.  The girls and I compiled a list of 20 questions I was to ask him.  I’d ask him a question then video taped his answer.

** A quick thank you to Steve for being such a good sport! **

After I had all of our questions recorded I went home for phase 2…. the Power Point.  We decided a Power Point would be the best way to present and play the game.  It worked PERECTLY!

At the shower….

When it was time to play the game we sat the bride-to-be up on stage… YES, we had a stage -awesome, right? As soon as we pulled up the first slide, everyone anticipated what this game was going to be all about.  I think the tacky, I mean catchy, game show style music that accompanied it really set the mood!

Before we started playing, we asked the guests out of 20 questions how many the couple would match.  We had them write their guesses down on their gameboards and then started the slide show….

Once everyone had a chance to read each question, we asked the bride-to-be to answer.   Once she answered, the next slide we played was Steve’s response….

It was seriously a trip!  EVERYONE was laughing!  Here are some of the other questions we asked….

In case you are wondering the lovely couple matched 12/20 questions.  To give them credit, some of our questions were a little tricky.

Thanks for reading today!

And if you decide to play this amazingly fun bridal shower game please let us know how it goes!
