It’s a RING thing!

February 2, 2011

Today, I have BLING on the brain… and  I am finding it hard to get anything done.  So I thought a little blog-therapy might just do the trick. It will hopefully help me clear my head and give you fine readers a little eye candy!  It’s a WIN WIN!!!

I decided to focus all of my blinging energy on ring shots. Let’s get started….

How unique and earthy!  Makes me think of all my “green” brides out there.  Simply beautiful.

Trash the dress

January 13, 2011

I have a few friends who have been married and have their wedding dresses just hanging in their closets.  When I ask them what they plan to do with them their answers vary.  One told me she plans to let her daughter wear it.  Another, said she was making a christening gown with it.  And a few admitted they had no idea.  Well ladies, look NO further.  Here is a perfect solution.  TRASH THE DRESS!

Now, I don’t literally mean “trash” your dress (although it may be totally trashed in the process).  But rather, have a Trash the Dress photo shoot.  They are becoming more and more popular and in my opinion, a wonderful way to put that dress to use after the wedding.

A Trash the Dress shoot, as defined by Wikipedia is: a style of wedding photography that contrasts elegant clothing with an environment in which it is out-of-place. It is generally shot in the style of fashion and glamour photography.

I am in LOVE with this concept and wanted to share some of my favorite Trash the Dress photos with you.  They are magnificent and I’m sure you will easily agree!

My all time favorite Trash the Dress photos are taken in the water.  Just look how absolutely lovely this is.

The Wedding of Jessica Clair

October 22, 2009

Yesterday I was too busy stalking out the details of Jessica Clair’s wedding to write a post. I have been following Jessica’s photography blog for a very long time and love her style. I posted about her invitations awhile back and now all of her wedding pictures have been posted around the web.

You can find the images on Jessica Clair, Becker, Jose Villa, Angel and Style Me Pretty. The images are a must-see!

There are so many fantastic details but they are better seen all together. My favorite is this door, used for her seating arrangement – WOW

Can you imagine getting married here?

I am so in love with this wedding, it started at Battery Park in NYC.  The whole event was planned by Always a Blogmaid (another favorite read) and photographed by Robert Wagner

No detail was left out and the guests took a ferry over to Ellis Island for the reception…amazing.
