Great Holiday DIY Projects

Sorry for the lack of posting, I’ve been crafting.  Here are some of my favorite DIY projects.

Not going to lie, it takes a long time to cut out all the felt circles you need for this wreath, however assembly is so easy and the results are fabulous!   These are great for the holidays but also an inexpensive way to decorate any venue.

Check out the tutorial on Donestifluff

I love a good wreath but these were a nice change.  I think this arrangement would also look great on church doors using your wedding color for the ribbon.

Found over at I Do It Yourself

I LOVE giving pictures as gifts, found a tutorial on how to add a vintage feel.

Found over at A Modern Wedding Blog

Want your house to smell AMAZING?  My nose had a great time making this super easy potpourri.

Found over at Hip Hostess

What a great cake!  I made this for a holiday party and it was a total hit.  I used green and red ribbon around the base and found holly candies to add.

Style Circle

I was over at Style Circle making some inspiration boards, hours of fun. They have 1000’s of images to choose from and you can make your own layouts.

Here is one I made for fall centerpieces

Outdoor Chapel

I saw this wedding posted last week on Style Me Pretty and have been obsessed ever since. What a fantastic idea! The Bride’s brother created this “outdoor chapel” and it is nothing short of spectacular!

Weekend Eye Candy

I am in love with everything about this wedding.  The bride incorporated so many little details to create a travel themed event.  Add in Erin Hearts Court as your photographer…perfection!

Oh the places I go

I have so many blogs that I read (as you can see), my RSS has been set up for 2 years and my blog roll has grown to well over 200.  I love seeing what others have to say, sharing ideas and how each bride puts a different spin on her wedding.

Today I wanted to share some of my favorite wedding blogs, I am going to exclude brides and photographers but I will share them soon.

100 Layer Cake – they always feature fantastic paper products and I have a love of all things paper.
Brooklyn Bride – she is sassy and fun.
DIY Bride – I am such a big fan of saving money and doing it yourself.
Green Wedding Shoes – she posts the most fantastic weddings.
Hip Hostess – not all about weddings but design inspires everything.
Hostess with the Mostess – this is not exactly a wedding site but I LOVE all the ideas on this blog.  WARNING: this site will make you want to throw a party.
Hot Pink Brides – I love anything pink.
Inspired Goodness – this blog and I share a love of clean lines and unique design elements.
My DIY Wedding – fulfills my love for all things DIY.
Oh So Beautiful Paper – Oh so one of my favorites.
Once Wed – I love everything that gets posted on this blog; it is full of inspiration and gorgeous gowns.
Paper Olive – paper couture (you know I love that)
Peachs by Plums – a wedding planner…planning a wedding
Penned & Pretty – Jessica features and addresses fabulous invites.
Rock ‘n Roll Bride – make me want to turn rocker chick.
Snippet & Ink – almost every day Kathryn featured another awesome inspiration board.  If you are having a hard time finding a color theme…check out her blog.
Style Me Pretty – a must read and make sure you check out Style Circle.
Temple of Groom – got to love a Groom with a sense of humor.
The Bride’s Café – wish I could sit in this café all day long.
Vintage Glam Wedding – I have become obsessed with all things vintage and it’s this blog’s fault.
Wedding Bee Pro – a collection of every wedding detail.
What Junebug Loves – I often love the same.
Young House Love – these two bloggers are too cute for words.  They are amazing designers.

And because every post should have a pretty picture, check out this amazing wedding posted on Vintage Glam.  Photography by Marzena
