Tuesday Shoes-day

July 3, 2012

I’m a shoe obsessing fool!  Everywhere I go I find myself eyeing them up.  In shop windows, my BFF’s closet, on some stranger’s feet!  I can’t help it.

 I’M OBSESSED!!!!!

Sooo obsessed it’s getting slightly out of hand. They are taking over.  My fab footwear started it’s takeover in my closet but now it’s slowly claiming my entire bedroom.  As fast as I can tuck them away, they fight their way back.  I think I might have a pair too many.

As much as I ache to have those sweet summery slip ons…. I know I can’t.  I CAN’T buy another shoe!  I CAN’T buy another shoe. I CAN’T buy another shoe!

BUUUUUUT…. I CAN jazz up my collection!  As soon as I saw this amazing shoe trick my inner fashionista couldn’t stop grinning.  I think this might calm my craving (for now)!  Check it out… DIY SHOE CLIPS!!!

Aren’t these shoe clips adorable?  You’d never guess they were clip-on earrings, would you??

TOMS wedding shop

November 28, 2011

Hey ladies! I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving break – I know that I’m about ready to pop from all of the food I consumed over the past few days. Anyway, as I was online shopping yesterday while still digesting my Thanksgiving feast, I paid TOMS.com a visit and was thrilled to find out that they have a WEDDING SHOP!

They have their classic style available in more wedding-y patterns and colors, including petal and ivory grosgrain for the gals and black leather for the guys. Not to mention that incorporating these trendy kicks in your wedding also gives back to the community! I’m sure you’re all already well aware, but for every pair of TOMS purchased, TOMS will provide a pair of shoes for a child in need.

How great would these puppies be as wedding party gifts? Not only are they comfy, cute and functional, but they’re a great way to incorporate a charitable cause into your big day. Plus, your bridesmaids and groomsmen can wear them well beyond your wedding. Perfecto!

Here are my faves:

Ivory Women's Glitters

Petal Grosgrain Women's Classics

Pewter Sequins Women's Wedges

Pink Women's Glitters

Ivory Grosgrain Women's Wedges

Black Perforated Leather Men's Classics

Highland Black Men's Botas

White Canvas Men's Classics

My personal faves are these bad boys – not in the wedding shop specifically, but how fun are they?

Snow Leopard Women's Wedges

Are any of you ladies having your bridesmaids and groomsmen rock TOMS on your big day?

Wedding shoe budget – what’s yours?

October 6, 2011

Ok ladies, I’m curious here. What are your thoughts on your wedding shoe budget? I’m a big fan of absolutely gorgeous pumps for your big day, but how much is a reasonable amount to spend on foot fancifiers?

I might skip the wedding dress altogether and spend my entire budget on these chartreuse suede peep-toe Louboutins. I die a thousand lustful deaths.

Clean + bright

February 24, 2011

Feast your eyes on my new favorite color combo: aqua and orange! This combo’s bold and fun, and there’s something about these gorgeous photos from Brunch at Saks (my inspiration for this post!) that remind me of a sun-soaked summer cottage with bright white curtains and freshly scrubbed floors. I’m so ready for spring.

I love the simplicity of this spread – the clementines and flowers keep it au naturale while the fun linens funk it up!

Kind of obsessed with the blue vases. Found these similar blue bottles on Etsy and died from happiness.

I love these simple but gorgeous placecards. Switch up the flower types (I’m thinking gorgeous orange tulips) for a unique twist! Via Crystal Blue Weddings

Shoe clips

December 3, 2010

I am going to take the first step and admit it…. I am a shoe-a-holic.  Yes, that’s right, I have a slight obsession with shoes.  Flats, sneakers, boots, heels…. I don’t discriminate, I love them ALL!!!  But now I have a dilemma.  I adore my shoes so much that now my obsession is spreading to shoe clips.  They can change the look of your footwear in a matter of seconds. My shoes deserve a little bling, don’t yours?! Check out how fantastic these little clip ons are……

The following are from Absolutely Audrey.  She has an amazing assortment of shoe clips.   These are some of my faves…

Ban.do also has shoe clips.  Their selection isn’t as large as Audrey’s but aren’t these sequined hearts sooo cute.  Perfect for Valentines day or to clip on for a wedding.

Oh, and remember….. shoe clips shouldn’t be restricted to just the front of a shoe.  Here are some other ways to wear them.  I love the versatility!

Be sure to clip them to the back of a shoe for a much different look.

Shoes!

July 27, 2009

Happy Monday everyone, let’s start this week with some shoe envy.

Who says you have to wear white shoes?  I love this new trend of colored wedding shoes, how cute!  I think it adds a little character and makes for one great shoe shot.
