Real Wedding: Heather & James

June 8, 2012
Well it’s Friday (YAY)  and I thought we’d end the week with some eye candy.  Some REAL WEDDING eye candy.  MY REAL WEDDING eye candy!!

Wednesday was Jim and I’s 3 year anniversary.  Each year, to celebrate, we cozy up together and revisit our wedding photos.  I think it is a sweet tradition and always look forward to it.  While we were reminiscing I thought It’d be fun to share some of our photos with YOU!  Not to mention, It gives me a chance to show off my hunky husband! HAHA… he’s gonna kill me!!!!

♥♥♥

Jim and I had a June wedding (obviously) with colors of aqua, brown & orange.  Our wedding was held in the church we were both christened in and our reception in a Mediterranean styled banquet hall.  We had beautiful weather and between venues went to a local park for photos. I tried to DIY all the details I could, but wish I knew then what I know now.   I wouldn’t change a thing though.  Everything was absolutely perfect!

♥ Heather & James ♥

Hope you enjoyed!  Have a fantastic weekend!  See ya Monday!

♥ HEATHER

Sweet Sw-EAT Summer

May 16, 2012

Suuuuuum-mer… where AAAAAARRE you????

Okay, I know it’s coming…. but can’t it get here any quicker?  I’m usually very patient, but these past few days it’s all I can think about.

Because I am yearning for warm weather and sun-kissed skin, I figured I could try to get a little taste of the sweet season by posting about it.  Well, not the SEASON itself per say, but the deliciousness that comes with it!

Just look at these delectable summer desserts.  They aren’t  just tasty, but adorable too. The presentation is key.  The following would be perfect to serve at a summer wedding, shower, or even a pool party!

Whatd’ya think?

This romantic palette of pink, yellow and blue is foolproof for the Spring and Summer months.  They are soft, light and beautiful.  A gorgeous and suitable palette for any wedding, shower or event being thrown this time of year!

What do you think?  Are you loving this color combination as much as I am?

Inspiration Wednesday

March 14, 2012

Spring hasn’t sprung… YET, but I was ready for it yesterday!

Because I so desperately needed a dose of Spring-i-ness I decided to feature Secret Garden today.  It’s one of our non-photo Save the Dates and lovely design for Spring, Summer and (obviously) Garden weddings!  This pretty Save the Date magnet comes in this vibrant fuschia hue along with 5 others.  Isn’t it sweet…

Makes you want to throw on a spring dress and frolic in some flowers, doesn’t it?

And, because a Wednesday isn’t a Wednesday here in Libby Land unless there is some inspiration, feast your eyes on this beautiful spring inspired inspiration board…

Pool decor

February 28, 2012

A little while back, while dreaming of warmer weather and outdoor events, I posted about Plexi-glass pool covers.  I’m getting that summer itch again so figured I’d share a few more ideas on how to pretty up a pool.  Today’s ideas are more cost efficient and fabulous options for you gals having poolside affairs.

Wether you’re having an outdoor wedding, shower or hosting an engagement party, if there is a pool nearby you should dress it up.

Just check out these pool decor ideas….

Aren’t these glowing pool globes amazing?  via Home Designs Ideas

During the day these lights strung over the pool are lovely, but imagine how dreamy they would be in the evening.  via Glamour Weddings

Paper boats as pool decor?  Adorable idea.  Coordinate with your wedding colors and ask guests to make a wish then place in the pool.  Cute wishing tree alternative.  via AandR Party UK

A floating monogram.  This one is made of flowers but you could get creative and make one out of candles, balloons or anything else light enough to float.  A great option if you’d like to DIY your pool decor.  via Weddingbee

Another simple monogram idea… a decal for the bottom of the pool.  via ThisNext

Initials lit in the pool…. soooo cute.  You could also write your new last name or a sweet message for your guests.  OR change-up the message throughout the event.  via A Practical Wedding

OKAY OKAY… this isn’t decor but an incredible entertainment option…. Synchronized swimmers!!  I love this idea for a pool side cocktail hour.  Maybe a bit over the top, but I couldn’t help myself.  How blown away would guests be with this type of wedding entertainment??  Surely it’d be talked about for years!!  via Ruffled

AND if you are going to have a pool at your wedding…. not only can it be a fab centerpiece but also a fantastic photo opportunity.  Be sure to let you photographer know so they can help you plan some stunning pool shots.  via Phindy Studios

Are any of you having a wedding or event poolside?  How are you dressing up your pool?  Considering one of these ideas, possibly??

Pinecone lovin’

October 10, 2011

I’ve been loving natural elements lately. How adorable would a pinecone-themed wedding be? From your save-the-dates to your invites, programs and centerpieces, pinecones are a rustic, chic and incredibly budget-friendly way to adorn your wedding.

My fave part about these prickly pieces is that they can be altered to suit weddings from any season. I’m particular to winter and fall pinecone-themed weddings, but with the right color schemes, these little pods can definitely work for spring and summer! Which season would you choose?

Summer wedding fashion: DOs & DON’Ts

July 5, 2011

Anyone attending a summer wedding?  I love summer nuptials.  Outdoor ceremonies, delicious fruity drinks, twinkling lanterns… It’s all soooo beautiful.  However, there is one thing that isn’t beautiful and it’s “that girl“.

You know, that girlThat girl who is not properly dressed for the occasion.  That girl who is spilling out of her dress.  That girl who is sweating profusely through her polyester pant suit. That girl who seems to have come to aerate the lawn in those ridiculous heels. Come on… we have all seen that girl.   And sure she’s entertaining, but her fashion faux pas should have been prevented.

I have seen way too many of those girls in my lifetime so I thought I’d put together a list.  A summer wedding fashion list.  Please read the following do’s and don’ts my dear Libsters,  because all of you are too feirce and fabulous to be that girl
