Great Holiday DIY Projects

December 22, 2009

Sorry for the lack of posting, I’ve been crafting.  Here are some of my favorite DIY projects.

Not going to lie, it takes a long time to cut out all the felt circles you need for this wreath, however assembly is so easy and the results are fabulous!   These are great for the holidays but also an inexpensive way to decorate any venue.

Check out the tutorial on Donestifluff

I love a good wreath but these were a nice change.  I think this arrangement would also look great on church doors using your wedding color for the ribbon.

Found over at I Do It Yourself

I LOVE giving pictures as gifts, found a tutorial on how to add a vintage feel.

Found over at A Modern Wedding Blog

Want your house to smell AMAZING?  My nose had a great time making this super easy potpourri.

Found over at Hip Hostess

What a great cake!  I made this for a holiday party and it was a total hit.  I used green and red ribbon around the base and found holly candies to add.

Felt Flowers?

September 22, 2009

This style is not for everyone but I think if you can pull it off these flowers could be amazing.  Princess Lasertron works with you to get exactly what you are looking for.  I have seen her feature flowers that range from simple to incredible; these have to be the talk of the wedding.

The book of love

September 9, 2009

Jessica Clair is a photographer I have followed for a very long time; her style is really different and hip.  She is getting married and recently posted her invitations.  Swoon…………..

After seeing these I had to know where the heck you get hollowed out books.  I scoured, searched and Googled with no luck.  She must have great bridesmaids that sat up for hours working on this project ;)   I did find a DIY tutorial and it would take a decent amount of time but LOOK at the results.

Project Everlasting

September 1, 2009

One part of planning brides often forget is after the wedding is over and the last thank you card is written, how do you make it last.  How do you keep that spark alive forever?  Jason Miller and Matthew Boggs have been working on a book and film documentary discovering the secret to happy, long lasting marriages.  They have traveled the country interviewing and documenting couples that have been happily married for over 40 years.  Some truly amazing stories check out their website for more details.
